WHAT IS IT?:
It's my NFT "Save the fckin Cat" collection.
Save the cat from Nyan Ripper (Cat Ripper).
Available on Opensea.
WHY did this?: To celebrate Halloween day!
HOW: Well....you need to read the step below..
HOW:
It start from "Save the fckin cat: Haunted Halloween"
These are rare Save the fckin Cat Halloween Edition, then I combine all of the background together and animated to make the last Rare cat "Little Ghost".
Idea: I already did a lot of ghost and mythology version but then suddenly I forgot this important ghost of all time which is "GHOST" like the casper or what we believe in like "soul".
So, this idea made me made the "Cat Ghost" animated version cause why not?
And if you ask me about the Idea of the background, it because the GHOST is a belief in continent like America and Europe something like that so I took the background from the
- Vampire Cat
- Jack o' lantern Cat
- Skeleton Cat
- Frankenstein Cat
- Michael Myer Cat
to recreate the whole scene and edit as a loop cycle of flying ghost.
This is the Ghost that I animated in Krita.
this is my very first time animating on krita so I learn how to add frame, open Onion Eye (to see the past frame and the upcoming frame), and animation principle like how to draw a ghost floating movement and a lot more.
I delicately add animated detail in the background.
In each background have their own separated layer so it able to add character, detail, element to make it more fun and spooky.
And it more easy when we separated the layers cause you can draw something above something and you can adjust to select or erase specific thing.
FUN PART: It was challenging me so much in the Jack o' lantern background, the hardest part is the cloud movement because it tricky that I can't figure how to make it flow like real cloud in the sky.
And the background that I had spent time with the most is Skeleton background.
It took me a lot of time to focus on just this one!!
I wanted to animate the skull falling so I have to draw each skull frame by frame is it look smooth when it falling down.
I very confuse with the position of the skull, when it falling down to the end of the canvas I have to find the connection of the frame before to make it look like looping the falling skull.
Other background were easy, I just add bat eyes and a bug to make the scene look more real for Vampire, for Frankenstein I try to make a haunted machine that run by itself and it look nuts...., and last one is Michael Myer he made me thought of bloody and something spooky and dark, so I just keep it minimal by animated wall full with blood and....animated something moving down or needed to be natural is tough cause you need to animated smooth and imagine of the mass and direction of the gravity that make it fall and drop like....how.
But then I finally it just frame by frame drawing it and adjust up to you how you felt when you see it ask question like "does it looks real enough?" "does it looks like its dropping?".
