Today I was learned about line. How to guide a picture direction using one line or how to create character using just 1 line to describe character personality, and the meaning of composition.
To convey meaning of the character you need to know composition.
And a first step was to get to know about visual art that started with Line and Shape.
I did an exercise to describe a line that convey emotion so I draw a sad line to happy line.
And I had took a look at the picture from UP and describe a shape that made within the character. And the last exercise was to draw line and shape to create my own character.

We gonna go more deeper with the topic SHAPE.
Shape are amazing, they can describe a lot of the meaning of character.
And the exercise for shape was the same as UP exercise but I need to know and analyze the meaning of those shapes.
And the shape also representing a meaning of a whole picture.
The picture for this exercise was this one.
And last exercise was to find a art work or a picture from your fav cartoon or movie.
So I chose the artwork from Mob psycho 100.
I saw a triangle in the middle of the picture which made us focus just a thing that in the middle. And there a lot of thing to see!!

Space
A scene from many movie were made a space between objects and objects so we can see the perspective of each scene.
And also, those spaces are define and express emotion within the scene.
The EXERCISE.
I had done this before but this time I just learned differently.
Like, the different in those spaces make it more realistic and our eyes see it in 3d perspective.
And it absolutely important for making a scene in a anime or animation.
This one was a scene from The incredible, this scene can see the space between each boxes in the scene which remind the depth and the distance between the character and object.
This one was a scene from Chain Saw Man.
It show a certain distance between the Hand and the devil.
And the last exercise was to draw my own scene from my own story.
I made a vanish point and then I was trying to to draw building and draw a human in the farest distance and the nearest distance and a space between them.

The movement of the character are important, and it a key for making the whole picture more realistic like it came alive.
So this day I had learn about Motion line and Action line.
Motion line is a motion effect which they made us believe that the object had move along with the motion line.
Action Line is like a spine of the character, it a guide for a posture of the character to make it more lively and more interesting.
Line of action doesn't mean that it can't be shape of action, the shape can also guide the posture too.
This is the example of the line of action.
I point out the line of action of this mouse, and I felt like the mouse slowly climb up and search for something. The line show a lot of moving movement, even it a picture but I can see the journey of it.

This is about the "tone".
I called this lesson a "light and shadow technique"
Lighting can add in the lively and positive scene in the show but the shadow add the mystery and negative atmosphere to the show.
And the contrast between lighting and shadow convey a lot of meaning through audience eyes.
